That's not how I read it. And I think the word "very" good was added by mistook.

Keep in mind there's a couple of DSLR mods. One replaces the onboard filter with another filter that still blocks UV/IR but has higher red transmission (astro modified) and the other mod replaces the filter with a clear one (MC modified). Or something like that.

The MC modified, along with CCD's will need the CLS-CCD.

For an unmodified DSLR, I could be wrong but I think they would happily take either, but only need the CLS.
