[Narnian (Andrew C)]

I’ve already learnt a lot poking around this site, and so I’m pleased to be a member now and to start interacting. I’ve spent the past few years working part-time on a MSCN (Astrophysics) and next semester the focus moves from theory to practice with observational astronomy. I’ll have limited access to the USQ scope and the Mount Kent Observatory, but I’d like to get my first set up at home. There are so many options, but my preference at this stage is for a Newtonian on an equatorial mount of a suitable quality to use for astrophotography down the track if I can manage it.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for the time and wisdom you share here. It’s helpful and appreciated.
