I dunno Wavy - I used to get the same error in my GPD2 all the time - that is, until I realised Dec guiding was disabled.
Turning it back on fixed it.
Also, if you get the insufficient movement error, it's usually a case of increasing the movement step in calibration, or adjusting the gear meshing.
