Backyard Pier

Here is my telescope pier setup to date for astrophotography.

Materials used for the construction of the pier.

-7 bags of 20kg concrete for plug
-5 bags of 20kg concrete for pipe
-2000mm L X 200mm W X by 8mm thick pipe.
-10mm plates 300mm and 250mm squared.
-4 x 14mm thread used for plates
-3 x 14mm @ 300mm bent at right angles for anchor blots

The hole dug was 700mm deep by 600mm wide, both hole and pipe was filled with concrete. My only little/possibly big concern is that it maybe to high 1300mm, I guess testing will tell but it definitely feels stable enough.

Anyhow here are some pictures of the pier, at least this way I wont be MIA from the house for hours now so it works out well for the family.
