It really doesnt matter which mode you use when you use narrow band filters as the narrow band filters will only allow a small portion of the light spectrum through.If you use LRGB with narrow band filters then your software proceesing options are more. However your time per picture will increase.
I would suggest you purchase AIP4WIN by Richard Berry and Jim Burnell.
The cost is $99 US. You get a hefty book on astronomical image processing as well the processing software. They are busy with a major software upgrade which will be free to version 2 owners.The upgrade is concentrated on DSLR functionality.This manual alone is worth the price.
You can see details of the book and software on the willman bell website.
IMHO this is an essential purchase.
