Do you do anything to your astronomical photos before printing?

I've never really been into photography, and certainly not developing/printing in any big way. I have tried to print off a couple of 10 x 8" prints at the local Harvey Norman's this weekend. Was initially disappointed a bit at the lack of impact though.

Had a fiddle with the pics today and pushed the contrast, saturation, etc a bit to the point I feel they look somewhat overdone on screen, but much happier now with the printed output under glass.

I realise there's probably no hard and fast rules, but any general comments folks?
