Toucam and raw images

Hi Guys,

I have read thru http://www.astrosurf.com/astrobond/ebrawe.htm and have now altered the toucam to record in raw format.

The instructions are pretty good.

I have installed the freeware image program iris http://www.astrosurf.org/buil/us/iris/iris.htm

I did a few images and videos during the day, and things went well.

The raw formats for colour were a little tricky to sort out as iris had to do the conversions and you have to work out the best camera setup ie nikon, canon etc that best mimiks the toucam, but got it going.

Now i will try it at night when the skys clear.

Iris also has a nice function called virtual equatorial that seems to be able to convert star trails into a cobined image. One to have a go at with the milky way.

Ok, will keep everyone updated!
