Hi David,
In my case it was only Photoshop that would stack the images.
It was better than nothing.

I had never used these commands before:

Files > Scripts > Load Files into Stack
Automatic Align Source Images and Create Smart Object.
Layer > Smart Objects > Stack Mode > Mean.
I think knowing that could be very handy even for
terrestrial photography.
