Do yourself a favour, use your 350D you will get good results, unless you are manually guiding or autoguiding for long periods of time you wont get the benefit of the modded cameras (cooled ones as well).[/quote]

Now you are really making it tough!

Problem is that I got all up close and personal with the sensor - used one of the compressed air cans and now find blotches all over it.

So I head out west - all the way to Gulargambone - and the trusty 350D is not so trusty. Do I take it to Canon? Won't get fixed in time. Do I buy a modded camera, now that I have an excuse? mmmm, its very tempting
