I doubt it if the D300 will be that much. Ive never bought anything from the aforementioned camera dealer & never will, simply too darned expensive. Retail shops have much larger mark ups...I buy all my stuff($10,000 in past year) from a Sydney based online company & the savings are almost laughable compared to what you'd pay 'over the counter' in a camera shop. Also,watch the aussie dollar, if it rises prices drop(at my online dealer at least). The D200 was $2300 when released...a couple of months ago it was $1799 online.
