sorry I took so incredibly long to acknowledge your reply, but
I got so involved with trying to solve this problem that I forgot all about this
post I did.
Nothing I do will make it save the final image, I can only get a single frame. DSS has another crazy problem too. When I click on the first chosen frames they go into DSS just fine, but when I select any further frames my cursor flies up to the top left of the screen.
I have uninstalled DSS and downloaded it again from a different site, but the same things happen.
For now I have gone back to my old slower laptop which still does the job.
