I bought one at the end of last year.

I really don't want to turn you off them because I think they are a great idea as well...but the night I spent trying to get mine working was the single most frustrating night of my astronomical experiences.

I think that I had a faulty unit - well - I HOPE I had a faulty unit. I couldn't get a star image for the life of me.

I returned mine, and have gone back o a QHY5 + PHD. Which is actually good as I can use that combo to drift align - something I dont think you can do with the Synguider/Nexguider.

I still think a standalone guider is great if you are using a DSLR, as you can ditch the laptop.
