If your going to guide with an heq5 you will have to use eqmod. It's about the only driver that will run the mount.
I use phd to guide with and a cheap Orion guide scope. Works great, but it took a long time to master it.
I use a Meade dsi ii as a guide cam but I have a toe cam as well and it works just fine as well.
With theses mounts you really need to make sure that you polar alignment is good or your guide will be eratic. I don't think you'll have any problems whith your set up, but really you don't need any thing fancy to guide with.
