I pulled one of the raw light frames out at random as you've suggested and posted below. I did tweak the curves to bring out the detail. Actually I'm surprised... this looks a lot better than what I just pulled out of IP?
I think there is some vignetting going on - at least at this aperture F3.2 - becomes apparent if you push the levels up. I think I may have overdone that in IP.
Back to the drawing board - I should be able to make a half-decent shot from this data is this is from one uncorrected RAW
