Add another step to your understanding as you go along. Its quite well written.

There is a quick polar alignment step early on in the manual.

That gets you close enough to do some astrophography.

You can then add T-point models and the model will give you instructions on how much to adjust your mount to achieve a better polar alignment.

Then there is setting up periodic error correction which is a recording of your mounts repeating tracking errors that can be anticipated and corrected for improving results.

But each step has its practice in the real world and sets of confusions and skills. So take your time, add another step as you go along.

Also T-point is not the only way to get your polar alignment improved.
It is a sophisticated way but drift alignment or other softwares also can improve your polar alignment that may be easier to implement.
