Currently I'm the Yardie/storeman for a local engineering firm which largely involves lots of fork lift driving, truck driving and arguments with the sales staff at Onesteel. (Hope there's none of you here.)
Previously I've worked in the printing, plastics, horticultural and transport industries.
Oddly enough, the best job I ever had was cleaning rest areas in Central Australia from the SA/NT border up to Tennant Creek and out west to the Rock and Hermansberg, a weekly run of about 2500 k's. Camping out in the swag 4 nights a week under the darkest skies imaginable and meeting and talking to tourists from all over the world. Loved it! I'd still be doing it if the boss hadn't been a total anus!
