A bat crap bombardier decided to jettison its load in mid flight, perfectly delivered into the ota of an old Omcon Newt, splashing copiously across the mirror and down the sides of the tube. In split seconds without thought I had the hose down there pronto, almost like an autonomous reaction.

In fact, I cool down from about 4pm on - I put the bahtinov clip on mask onto the dewshield and leave it - the THIN slots allow radiative cooling still, and keeps the crap out.
