At Gain 0 the ASI1600 has about 12.45 bits of dynamic range. At 14 bits that puts it up there with the Sony A7R which has a huge dynamic range.
EDIT: Just noticed it has the same sensor as the Nikon D7000, good sensor
If they'd made an FX version of this sensor (D800?) a number years ago I'd have pulled the trigger on that
