x185 27' x247 20'

IC 3521 Galaxy *
RA: 12h 34m 39.6s Dec: +07° 09' 41"
Mag: 13.8 (B) S.B.: --- B-V: --- Size: 1.3'x0.8' Class: IBm
P.A.: 33 Inclination: --- R.V.: +573 Source: RC3 *

This is a very small, or small slightly elong eg found to the E of a 12th mag * by 5', seems to be in about PA 30, oval 50" x 30" grows weakly to the axis and to centre with no evidence of core or nucleus.

x185 27' x247 20'

NGC 4975 Galaxy *
RA: 13h 07m 50.3s Dec: -05° 01' 04"

MCG -1-34-1 Galaxy *

Mag: 15.1 S.B.: --- B-V: --- Size: 0.7'x0.6' Class: SB
P.A.: 17 Inclination: --- R.V.: --- Source: PGC *

Of these two the NGC eg is somewhat the brighter, not too hard to see though small, quite LSB and faint. Poss slight elong in about PA 30, 30" x 20", growing broadly and slightly to centre with a hint of a very faint stellaring in the centre. MCG-1-34-1 is only 3' NW.

MCG -1-34-1 is 3.5' NW about the same size, about 30" across, round and lower in SB with no apparent central brightening or structure visible.

This eg appears to the N by a few arcmins from a small trapezoid of 13th & 14th mag *s. Pretty small, 30-40" dia round, faint haze that grows evenly and slightly to the centre with a hint of a very faint sub-stellar nucleus in the centre. Reasonable SB but pretty faint overall.

-89 is only 13' NW from mag 4 Theta Virginis -- must exclude. Theta has a small mag 9 companion about 10" NNW (STF 1724). -89 is one side of a 6' per side tri of mag 11 & 12 *s. Pretty obvious and easy to see. Small, about 40" diameter dominated by a bright stellaring at centre . -90 is 7' N near a mag 12 *.

-90 is a little fainter, very small 20-30" round and also has a stellaring at centre that dominates it though not to the extent in -89.

NGC 4996 Galaxy *
RA: 13h 09m 31.8s Dec: +00° 51' 27"

P.A.: 40 Inclination: 2 R.V.: +5443 Source: RC3 *

This eg forms the faintest and W point in a very lengthened small tri with a mag 11 & 12.5 *s in the E and SE. Very small, 20-30" dia weak, dilute small outer halo with a stronger spot in the centre. The DS shows this as a ring-form spiral -- no hint of that in the ep.

NGC 5010 Galaxy *
RA: 13h 12m 26.4s Dec: -15° 47' 51"

P.A.: 120 Inclination: --- R.V.: +6400 Source: RC3 *

this eg Is not too bad -- mod faint only found 5' NE of a 10th mag *. Seems to be in PA 75, small spindle form spiral 50" x 10" growing slightly and evenly to the axis nr centre but no apparent core/nucleus. S.B is good for such a small eg.

This eg appears to the N of a long RA tri of mag 10 & 11 *s. Fairly small 40-50" diameter, round spot of gossamer that has no apparent structure and brightens weakly to centre.

-36 almost makes up a small rectangle with 3 *s 10th, 11th & 12 mag to it's S. Very, very small and very faint spot of mist, 20" diameter if that -- not continuously visible. -39 is 1.5' NE and is only 10" dia if that, round and no structure.

x185 27' x247 20'

NGC 5038 Galaxy *

This is quite a nice, very thin small but good SB spindle in PA 90, 50" x 5" and appears to the N of a 12th mag * by about 5', really is a very small streak. Pretty good consistent SB along the axis but no real core or nucleus.

NGC 5050 Galaxy *

P.A.: 35 Inclination: 6 R.V.: --- Source: RC3 *

This is a very, very tiny eg in almost PA 0, almost *ar. In a line of 5 mags 13 -16 *s. Extremely tiny 20" x 2" ?? dominated by a tiny substellar spot in the centre at about mag 15.5.

x185 27' x247 20'

Mag: 14.6 S.B.: --- B-V: --- Size: 0.6'x0.6' Class: S?
P.A.: --- Inclination: --- R.V.: +968 Source: RC3 *

This eg is almost due N by a mag 9 * by about 8'. Looks better in the ep than the DSS shows it. About 20-30" diameter, round, diffuse edges and grows broadly and mod to centre without core or nucleus. Low but not unreasonable SB.

x185 27' x247 20'

IC 863 Galaxy *
RA: 13h 17m 12.4s Dec: -17° 15' 16"

P.A.: 44 Inclination: --- R.V.: --- Source: RC3 *

This eg is between two fairly distinctive but faint tris of mags 12-15 *s to the NE and SW 8 & 14' away respectively. The eg itself is a pretty small round eg, about 30" diameter and brightens broadly and slightly to centre with a hint of a very faint stellaring in the centre. Quite diffuse edges. Reasonable SB -- immediately visible.

P.A.: 55 Inclination: 4 R.V.: +6265 Source: RC3 *

This eg appears a little (5') to the W of a the centre point between two = br mag 9 *s aligned N-S and sep by about 12'. Seems to be slightly elong in PA 45, 40" x 30" no real structure visible, oval grows broadly and slightly to the centre without core or nucleus. Immediately visible, not too bad in terms of SB.

x185 27' x247 20'

Mag: 13.2 S.B.: --- B-V: --- Size: 0.7'x0.5' Class: Sa
P.A.: 0 Inclination: --- R.V.: --- Source: PGC

This eg forms a small RA tri about 3' x 2' with the *s to the N & NW mags 13 & 15. Very small tiny 20" dia round patch of weak mist growing broadly and weakly to the centre without zones, core or nucleus.

x185 27' x247 20'

NGC 5080 Galaxy *

There are 6th and 7th mag * just on the field stop to the NE and N. The eg itself is very small, 20-30" diameter and brightens slightly to the centre diffused edged and has a stellaring dead centre at about mag 14. Not bad SB.

-94 is in a pair with the (apparently) merged halo of MCG-2-34-35 & 36 to the S by 2' and with -38 about 12' E.

-94 is about 50" diameter and grows mod & evenly to the centre without zones to a small mod faint, almost *ar nucleus. MCG -2-34-45 & -6 is a very faint spot of haze a little lower in SB, 30" x 20" in PA 0 rising slightly to a small faint core. There is a mag 15 * 2' SE of the NGC eg. MCG -2-34-38 is to the E by 12' as a small 30" diameter spot of reasonable SB haze rising slightly to centre without zones, core but may have a vey faint stellaring at centre.

NGC 5097 PGC 46602 Galaxy *
RA: 13h 20m 59.8s Dec: -12° 28' 18"
Mag: 16.5 S.B.: --- B-V: --- Size: 0.5'x0.3' Class: E
P.A.: 45 Inclination: --- R.V.: +2268 Source: PGC *

This eg is found not far from (10') NGC 5088 -- NE. very tiny and quite faint eg almost *ar, 10-15" diameter a tiny patch of ephemeral gossamer whcih took a while to pick up in the field occasionally seems to have a very faint stellaring in the centre.
