check the PHD settings, sometimes it can turn of guiding on the dec axis if it doesnt get enough movement, but take heart, anytime i have had this error, its always been something really simple, and a slaphead moment

I know what you mean about slaphead moments.. I had one of those the other night wondering why I couldn't see any stars through the guidescope... took me 15mins to realise the lens cap was on.. Doh!

I'll check the settings again tomorrow night. Thanks for the input.
