I was testing my D70 in preparation for some time-lapse work. Doing a run of continuous 30 second exposures the left hand side of the camera got quite warm (30-40 degrees).

When I was shooting astrophotography with a DSLR, the images in summer were far noisier than the winter ones.

Doesn't seem to affect Alex with his time lapses though - he has shot many with a D700 at ISO3200, although his exposures are usually 30secs.
