I now steer clear of getting expensive items shipped from Hong Kong after a protracted bad experience from Malaysia a few years ago (purchased a "new" Fuji camera which turned out to be refurbished and defective). Reimbursed by PayPal, but lots of hassle.

Their $1,999.00 for a
New CANON EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM is getting close to my target price . But I don't like the idea of shipping by courier (too much risk of getting lumbered with GST and other charges that would likely not be incurred by post.).
