x185 27' x247 20'

IC 3112 Galaxy *
RA: 12h 17m 48.4s Dec: +26° 01' 50"
Mag: 15.2 (P) S.B.: --- B-V: --- Size: 1.3'x0.7' Class: S?
P.A.: 178 Inclination: --- R.V.: --- Source: RC3 *

This eg appear to the S by only 1' from a mag 15 *, in fact it sits on the W side of a tiny RA tri of mag 14, 14 & 16 *s. Very, very faint and tiny eg. Probably only 40" diameter, round or possibly off-round in PA 30, grows slightly to centre with no other visible structure.

NGC 4262 Galaxy *

Mag: 11.5 (V) S.B.: 11.1 B-V: +0.94 Size: 2.0'x1.8' Class: SB(s)0-?

Mag: 14.5 S.B.: --- B-V: --- Size: 1.1'x0.9' Class: dS0(4),N
P.A.: 63 Inclination: --- R.V.: --- Source: PGC *

This is a a small eg that is dominated by a bright core and *ar nucleus. Very dim field with very few stars, seems to have a very LSB outer halo about 1' diameter possibly off-round in PA 0, dominated by a small, 10" diameter much brighter core and a bright non-*ar tiny spot nucleus almost *ar. IC 781 IS 8' NE 1' E of a mag 10 *.

-81 is an very small eg at best 15-20" diameter of LSB that brightens slightly to centre. There is a 15th mag * on the edge of the halo N.

This eg is to the W of a mag 13.5 * by <2'. Looks better than the DSS suggests. Almost 1' diameter, round growing mod and evenly to the centre but there is no real nucleus or pip.

This is somewhat fainter than expected. Very small, no *s immediately associated. Very small round eg, probably 30" diameter rising slightly in brightness to the where there is the occasional hint of a faint stellaring.

This is fairly low-down in the sky presenting as a small oval patch about 1.5' x 30" in PA 0, growing broadly and slightly to the centre without zones or nucleus. S.B is okay but not brilliant. There is a small but very long tri of *s to its N 8' that points at it.

This eg is only a few arc-mins from a mag 9 * in a thin field, lowish SB and slightly oval in PA 0, 1.5' x 1' and very diffuse edges growing broadly and slightly to centre without apparent zones or nucleus.

This eg forms the W point of a small diamond of mags 12, 13 & 14 *s about 2' across. Pretty plain-jane eg, round just on 1' diameter growing weakly to centre, SB is okay to good, where at centre is a fairly large not well defined, slightly brighter core zone with no apparent nucleus.

This is fairly low to the horizon. A fairly small spindle shape in about PA 120 pointed at from the NW by a couple of mag 12.5 *s that point in the same PA as the eg. 1.5' x 10-15" quite LSB mod faint grows broadly and slightly to axis near centre but no evidence of core or nucleus.

This eg (-83) appears about 2' NE of a 12th mag *. This is a small fat spindle in about PA 30 with a fairly prominent core zone. 1.5 x 30" and seems to have very faint "tips". Grows slightly to the centre where there is a very small, much brighter spot-type core zone. To its SSW by 3' below the 12th mag * is a tiny very faint spot -- this is MCG +3-32-27.

+27 is no more than 15" diameter very, very LSB brightening weakly to centre if at all. Very, very LSB and tiny.

This eg appears to the E of a longish snaking chain of mag 10th, 11th & -12th mag *s in the shape of a hockey stick. Very slightly elong in PA 0, sizable, 2.25 cx 1.75' as a very LSB patch of gossamer with a weak, if at all central brightening. No core zones or nucleus apparent.

This is a small to very small elong eg 2' E of a mag 10 * and has a mag 15 * at the opposite end. Elong in PA 90, low SB oval 40 x 20" rising slightly to centre with no evidence of core or nucleus.

This eg is almost at the mid-way point of two 11th mag *s aligned SW-NE 7' apart. Quite starry field. Good SB, elong in PA 150 good sized oval probably 1.5' x 40", diffuse edges growing slightly to centre where there is an occasional, very faint *ar nucleus.

The Argo puts this at mag 13.3 but is only 0.6' dia, in fact it is a very tiny and very faint eg, probably only 20-30" diameter, round soft-edge halo growing slightly to centre where there is a very faint stellaring. It has two * neighbours to the N and E mags 12 & 14 <30".

This eg appears near (to the NE) an asterism that looks a bit like the asterism that forms Lepus -- only not flaring out but straight. Pretty small round eg, not quite an arc min across dominated by a strong, mag 13.5 stellar nucleus.

These 7 eg are spread over 2x medium-powered fields of the bright elliptical eg NGC 4936. -54, 52 and -43 are the brightest 3 while the others are all somewhat fainter with the faintest is -64.

-54 is 20' N of NGC 4936. No more than about 40" diameter, round growing mod and evenly to centre where there is a small, faint stellaring.

-43 is 12' SW of -54 and is very similar in appearance to -54 but a fraction smaller, round, brightens mod to centre 30" diameter.

-53 is 7' NW and is about 30" diameter, brightens slightly to centre and fainter than -54.

-48 is a couple of arcmins W of -53 as a tiny 15" x 5" blob of gossamer no structure.

-15-odd arc-mins NE of -54 is -58, 64, & -67 which are all tiny, very, very faint 10-15" diameter spots of gossamer, no structure.

NGC 5181 is only 3.5' NE of a 9th mag * Both of these are fairly small faint egs. -85 is somewhat elong, 1.5' x 10" in about PA 45 and is just to the N of a little faint group of *s by a few arc-mins. Fairly skinny spindle-shaped, lowish to quite low SB rising weakly to centre to a small slightly brighter streak-like core.

-81 small round eg of similar but maybe slightly higher SB, but about 40" diameter rising in brightness slightly and evenly to centre where there is a very small slightly brighter core area.
