JPG are 24 bit too. At some point the TIFF gets down sampled. Just make sure it happens as late as possible.

Does photoxx mean some version of Paint Shop Photo X*, or something else that got buried in the links to torrents and keygens?

ImageMagick is available for Windoze and does TIFF -> JPG in one step.

I have yet to find a copy of cinepaint I can get to run on any of my boxes.
