Thanks for the comments, the thing with the weather was that all the forecasts showed that there would be clear periods and as I was planning on shooting a 12 hour time lapse having the dynamics of cloud movement in some of the end video would add a nice effect. I have found that when doing time lapse at night it isn't necessary to have a completely clear sky so you can be just as productive even when you have the moon up and a few clouds, unlike with deep sky imaging.
