Hi Dave

I recently trawled through an 8126 frame AVI (manually) using Virtual Dub and found 20 or so frames of interest and just copied each frame and pasted them into CS6 as a new Layer.

In CS6 I then did something like:
  • Window
  • Timeline – this opens a strip at the bottom of the screen.
  • Select “make animation” button in this strip or similar text, can’t remember exact wording.
  • From the little drop down menu at RHS of the Timeline strip there is an Option to “make frames from Layers.
  • There are controls to reverse the Frames, set the Delay between frames, etc.
  • Then you select “File” and “Save for web”. Choose the gif option in the Panel where you can tweak other settings such as Quality, etc.

Going from memory here, so not too sure of the exact wording.

Cheers

Dennis
