Mmm I was considering a pentax 67 but since I have a Nikon DSLR I was hoping I'd be able to get away with the 180mm. I think the issue is the adapters; I need some super thin ones and then it might work. But all up that's still 15mm I need to shave off. However I think I might have to give this project a miss this time, far too busy getting my RC8 setup up to speed. It's only seen an hour of starlight!

Ah that sucks! If you could have kept the WSG cover then you could have used an OAG. Yea I was planning on making a wooden support bracket for the QHY9, and then get a single guidering for the lenses. Probably not required for the 50mm but more for peace of mind. Yes please do send pics once you're done!
