I've got the problem too. Thought it was something I was doing wrong. See images. Image one is with the filter draw, see the diagonal light strip with enough light coming in to illuminate crap on the IR filter. Image 2 is completely flat - the filter drawer was covered with 3 layers of duct tape.
I've contacted ZWO, and am awaiting resolution.
