you forgot the last line in the series:

$10-15 WORTH OF ALUMINUM FROM A SCRAP YARD
$90 FOR TWO BINTEL DOVETAIL PLATES
$15-20 TO HAVE POWDERCOATED

A little bit of elbow grease and a lot of satisfaction.
