Great pics, and great that you took the opportunity while the sky was dark to get the comet. It's still so dim, far too dim for me to observe it yet thru light pollution. Comet Oukaimeden on the other hand was awesome to observe. I had a dream of a comet last night- thru my eyepiece at the scope, it had a wide tail and streamers running off it everywhere, oh it was so coooool!
Sorry Suzy, didn't mean to nearly give you a heart attack. I've only observed 2013 A1 visually when it was at it's peak near 47 Tuc, and even that was a challenge. It's quite dim now and probably be even dimmer by the time it reaches Mars. I'm not sure I will even be able to separate it from the glare photographically, mag -1 verses mag11.
