Even though it is expensive I've heard people call Ron Wodaski's book the CCD 'Bible'. It explains the concepts of astrophotography that are relevant to both DSLRs & CCDs. You may find that you move on to CCD photography in the future.

Good luck,

Kim
I have both too and both are great.

I only recently got the ebook version of The New CCD Astronomy. I had to send them an email as they have stopped distrubuting both the hardcopy and the ebook. They told me that they stopped publishing the book in December last year. If you want a copy of this book I think you had better do it soon.
