Patrice, the stacked TEC must be matched, I am not sure how well the cutting will work. But it is worth a try.
Regarding a larger case, have you seen
Hammond 1550Z111? It has the same width and length but it is deeper than our case. Maybe you can fit a larger heatsink in it?
