One suggestion, if I may, when sketching the moon, you well know that its black shadows are really, really black. I read you use a 2B pencil, great! that's what I use too. For the really black areas, look at
using a 6B. Art stores & some newsagents also have a pencil called "EE", which, unlike graphite pencils, has no sheen to it at all and is really black- particularly good for lunar sketches.
