Nikolas, I do have the old plug and cable - RS-232 on one end and RJ-45 the other. I'm not entirely confident plugging this into my MacBook yet, especially after reading the commentary in the EQMac website (connecting your Mac to the mount section), as I don't want to fry my Mac. I have to find out what voltages come out of that plug... Anyone?
If they can charge a phone or ipad then it's 5 v
Never had a problem connecting them all up and I have updated the firmware from my mac as well as run stellarium.
