Indeed, Russ, the last time I captured the scene was back in about 1986 with a Pentax 6X7 and 300mm F4 lens on B&W film. Unfortunately I don't have the result to make a comparison but suffice to say, there is a biiiiiiiiiiiig difference ...for starters, in comparison, the stars in the film shot looked more like over exposed planets ie they were more like white discs, not points
