This looks odd...
If file was corrupted, it should be possible for system to pick it up, just like on any mass storage device. This look like corrupted image to me.. saved into file that was obviously consistent within itself (otherwise it would not be possible to read it).
Flash cards should be replaced immediately when they start to have corrupted files, because the fault usually quickly progresses to the whole of the memory.
