The TS 80mm triplet would be a fine scope, though because it's just over the $1000 limit you'll likely need to pay an extra couple hundred in gst and fees.
If you're going over the gst limit anyway you might also consider the TS115 f/7 triplet which is a great value.
Alternatively you could stay under the limit and opt for the TS 72mm FPL53 doublet; images on astrobin look good and I should have a sample image in a couple of days to check for CA (I just bought the 72 for widefield).
GST is only applied under $1000 if the business sells more than $75000 annually to Oz.
