I don't own one of these mounts, and you were talking about flexure so have you thought about mounting the binos directly above the mount with a u type bracket. Utilising both mounting positions and eliminating the counter weight.
Would only work if the shafts directly line up though.
Just a thought.

Thanks Darren, The side-saddle mounting is only temporary, I just ordered the material from Lakeview Engineering to build a new top mount with hanging counterweight arms similar to the Panther TTS160 mount......
I am getting the aluminium cut using a water jet and installing the top-mount onto the AZ-EQ6GT..... My design actually does away with the main saddle completely and connects directly to the puck and c/w bar.
