Robin - will this lens focus as advertised on my D40? Being built for a full-frame sensor would it be a waste of time? I'm looking at a way to consolidate all 12 of my Nikon Ai lenses into two VR's - a wide-angle to around 70 mm and then another from there to 200. I'd like to know that they'll also work (manually of course) on my Nikon F and EL. One day I might also entertain going the whole hog and see how a D3 or D300 might fit into the finances.....
