Yep, the ST80 for guiding is a killer, I use it on a 3m FL OTA, works a treat (but make sure the mounting is SOLID).
Ian, RCs, PMEs and big cams get you TO the event horison, then, RC flateners, rotators, huge filters, auto focusers............... suck you right in ;-).
