I have no problem doing the mod, but the filter is where im stuck, Woulden't a uv/ir cut be ok Further foward in the optical train. Or do i have to place a replacement over the sensor? and if im doing Ha do i even need the uv/ir?

Ps: I do realise this would limit my cam to astro only.

No mate if you want to truly mod this camera, you have to remove to existing filter in front of the sensor and make sure the gap between the sensor and the new replacement filter is exactly the same, otherwise your Auto Function is stuffed.

No problem if you want to do software focus stuff.

Leon.
