The ToUcam is probably the best lunar/planetary webcam for a beginner to start off with. The next step up from the ToUcams are the Imaging Source cameras, which are made specifically for Planetary imaging.
Have a look at Ebay as I have seen a couple for sale for a fairly decent price.
