I'm not sure if you can get any new 1100d's anymore (if you are indeed after a new camera).
I think the basic option is the canon 600d and even that is nearly out of stock which then leaves the 650d or 700d.

There are plenty of other good camera options out there (nikon/sony/pentax etc) however canon users have access to Backyard EOS which is great for image acquisition and Magic Lantern (awesome firmware update / program adding other features to camera).

However if you are looking at landscape/night scapes then there is a massive difference between these lower end DSLRs and say a canon 6d which has much less noise.
