PEPSI high res spectrograph

The new high-resolution, hydra-headed PEPSI spectrograph is now in operation.

The resolution of this system is up at 270,000 across the visual spectrum. The information contained within the spectra is unbelievable.

See https://astrobites.org/2018/02/21/de...ra-with-pepsi/ for a rundown of its first target.

Out of interest, I think the highest amateur set up yields R 100,000, being Fluvio's Zeeman line detecting set up? Any higher Merlin?
