It looks like the advent of cheap CMOS cameras from ZWO et al are hurting CCD cameras. Personally I do not believe that CMOS has yet eclipsed CCD - it may come but it isn't here yet. I don't believe the now famous ZWO 1600 is a match for the QHY 12, but not a story I'll be part of in the near future.


So, what's a QHY 12 worth these days? Make an offer.



I've had some feedback although my thoughts remain valid I think that whilst CMOS may be the future it isn't quite there yet and the QHY12 therefore remains a very strong contender in the market and not quite matched by the new CMOS cameras in anything other than price. Nevertheless, my opinion hardly matters as the camera will be worth whatever someone is willing to pay so I have no choice.


I'll drop the price to $1950 and I will leave it here at that price for a limited time.
