I retired at fifty..medically unfit...but as I got better life really openned up...became a father again and that was so rewarding being there all the time and I had to mask the pain and stop complaining which has turned out to be one of the best skills I have. Anyways it is much better than you think. ..But dont waste time..get what you want now..dont put anything off.
Make your main goal retirement from working on other peoples stuff and start working on your goals and dreams.
Go for it.
