Finished shelter to this level just in time for the clouds to roll in for the last month or so. Intention is to put some thin plywood inside to stop ambient light. At the moment, the bamboo screen it makes a big difference to the amount of wind blowing around the scope
, it even has full approval of "she who must be obeyed"
The pier is a piece of 200mm galvanised dust collector pipe full of concrete, and about 800mm below ground. The wedge is 25mm plywood, bolted into the pipe.
