After what seemed like a really long wait, the Canon 450D has finally arrived! I spent most of the morning just staring at the glossy Canon box before eventually get it all setup.
This is my first DSLR camera so all the functions are a bit new to me. It is definitely a massive step up from my el cheapo digital camera. Something like 6MP to 12.2MP

I hope to pick up a T-ring and all the other bits and pieces ASAP so I can connect it to the scope. Like the 40D the 450D has a live view function that will make life that much easier when focusing.
I've connected the camera to the laptop and tested the software that lets you to capture long exposures without a long exposure cable. It all seems to work very well but it I can't wait to see how it performs on those faint DSOs.
So far I have been blown away with the quality of the images.
