Eclipse - Brisbane - surface detail?

Hi Everyone,

Just finished processing my first ever image of the sun. Just a small eclipse from Brisbane, but I did get lucky with the clouds.

This was also my first time imaging with my recently accquired C8. Overall I'm very happy with the results. It seems I've even captured a bit of surface detail (not sure what these are called...) in the lower left.

I'd love to get some feedback. Is the grain from my camera (noise) or is it detail of the sun?

Details: C8 (masked to 130mm) with f6.3 focal reducer, on Vixen SP mount, Canon 20D (not modded), 1/500sec @ ISO200 with Baader Solar film. Stack of 3 exposures (which helped bring out detail).

Hi Res version here: http://www.bizonline.com.au/stars/web2.jpg

Cheers,

David.
