Humayun, my thinking was that the 30D sensor is almost the same as the 350D, so it was worth a try. But, I didn't have to!

It turns out that the 350D actually is supported by DPP, but the camera itself does not record the lens type (LensType parameter) in its EXIF metadata, so all you have to do is populate the LensType field with the appropriate Canon lens code. Once this is done, lens corrections are available in DPP. Awesome!!

So, instead of rushing out to buy a 2nd hand 30D or 40D to tide me over until the new models come out (60D very soon, 5D MkIII possibly by the end of the year), I can get the most out of the good old 350D.
